Nancy's Goulash


  • Four to five potatoes (peeled and diced chunky style)
  • Three carrots (peeled and sliced)
  • One medium Vidalia
  • 1-1/2 pound ground beef
  • 2-1 lb. cans of diced tomatoes
  • Dash garlic powder
  • Teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Can of your choice ( green beans, kidney beans or chili beans)
  • Good ole' Country music in background

Cook carrots and potatoes in boiler of water until tender.  Leave liquid that is remaining.  Brown ground beef with onion, garlic powder, salt & pepper.  Add to carrots and potatoes.  Add tomatoes and  beans allowing to simmer until flavors have merged.  Serve with regular cornbread or this is really good with Mexican Cornbread.
