Date Balls

  • 3/4 cup butter

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 8 oz. package dates, chopped.

  • 2 cups crisp rice cereal

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Combine butter, sugar and dates in saucepan. Cook for ten minutes or until thickened, stirring frequently. Cool. Stir in cereal and pecans. Shape into small balls; roll in powdered sugar.  Yield: 50 servings.
