Best Chocolate Cake
2 cups plain
flour |
3
tablespoons cocoa |
2 cups sugar |
½ teaspoons
soda |
1 stick oleo |
½ cup
buttermilk |
½ cup Wesson Oil |
2 eggs |
1 cup water |
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring |
Mix flour and sugar
and set aside. Bring oleo, water, oil and cocoa to a boil and pour over
flour and sugar. Mix well. Add buttermilk, soda, vanilla and eggs. Bake in a
greased 9x13 pan for 30 minutes at 325 degrees. Frost.
Frosting:
- 1 stick oleo
- 6 tablespoons buttermilk
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
Add to cocoa
mixture:
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Pour Warm Frosting
over hot cake in pan.
